This model was created for a competition where the artists had to model a weapon of choice from the medieval time period. You’ll see that I decided to go with a stylized medieval mace. It all started with a concept I put together in photoshop, combining a bunch of images. I then used that concept to block out a rough model inside of 3ds max. From there I took the base model into zbrush where I sculpted a high res model. I then retopologized the model inside of 3ds Max. I proceeded with baking our normals and other texture maps out of zbrush and did the final rendering in 3ds Max.
