This was a morning project I did after dropping off my fiance at the airport, at 4am. I create this in 3dsMax and rendered it using Mental Ray. The bristles of the brush are generated splines from “Hair & Fur” modifier.
The handle and brush details are created using a displacement map. It is a relatively simple model really.
I then put in some light cards and rendered it out. Lastly I composited it in Nuke.
