Helix Pro is a glorified version of 3ds Max’s helix spline shape. Helix pro gives users the ability to control every aspect of a helix from bias, to knot count, to start/end radius, as well as the size and space of each revolution.

Installation

To install just copy the downloaded file HelixPro.dlo to your max plugins directory.
ex. (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2012\plugins\)

Awesome tool, exactly what I was looking for – a whole set of extended parameters on a helix tool.
